For some time I’ve wanted to share the work of Maine artist Liz Hoag on the blog. I enjoy her treatment of trees, a favorite subject of mine, and I especially like her treatment of their “sky holes” as an abstract element.

Check out her work on her website, and here in this post.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. Thank you for featuring Liz Hoag. I have heard of her, but especially after our workshop these paintings are inspirational. Her treatment of the deep woods and sky holes is just what I needed to be exposed to.
