After a month of family, festivities, and busy professional work, I was glad to get back to making some artwork. I have all sorts of ideas, but what I launched first were these monoprint collages.
I have been trying different substrates and these are finally done on what I will continue to use for this type of work– gatorboard. It is wonderfully, inflexibly rigid, and it is easier to get papers down onto without wrinkling terribly; although some creasing is still inevitable, it is now happily minimized. Using this material will also make for easy framing.
I like all three of these and am trying out different explorations in each one, learning all the time. I love the discovery process, and the endless variables and possibilities!
