My niece is in her fourth year teaching in an amazing elementary school based on Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, which is one of my favorite books. (I am a total fan of his!) This school has once again been ranked #1 in the country, and during my first visit there, I got a glimpse at why. What I saw was very encouraging, especially in a country where teaching and public education get a lot of negative press. Because this school is near a university, students are from all over the world, with only a few actually from North Carolina. The Governor has come to read to the kids in my niece’s class, and my niece is specifically written about in Stephen R. Covey’s book The Leader in Me. I was impressed and proud!
