Recipe: Delicious Baked Onions

baked onions recipe

This is delicious enough for a company meal, but simple enough for a Monday dinner like last night. It is fabulous perfection when paired with grilled salmon and a salad with a basic vinaigrette!

We have three of us here right now so the recipe below is for three; just multiply or divide the ingredients based on how many you are cooking for, allowing two small onions a person, and varying the size of your pan depending on how any you are baking.

Baked Onions Recipe

6 small onions
Salt and pepper
3/4 cup cream
3/4 cup grated Parmesan

Preheat the oven to 350˚F.

First, peel the onions and boil them whole in a pan of water for 20 minutes.

When the onions are tender, take them out of the water and cut them in half. Place them in a shallow baking dish and season them with salt and pepper. Add the cream and sprinkle the grated Parmesan on top. Put them in the oven for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.

Enjoy!
