This is the first book in the Strokes of Genius: the Best of Drawing series.  I came across it when hunting in my library for the second book (Light and Shadow) and the third – brand new title – Fresh Perspectives, both of which my daughter and I would love to see sometime.

She is in a demanding drawing course right now and this book provided, like hopefully the whole series eventually will for us, fodder for inspiration and new approaches to representing what we see and think about.  We poured over the excellent work in this one and give the book five stars.   You can see some of our favorite images from this book below.
