I painted this abstract landscape series in watercolors this week. I had fun exploring options within self-imposed limited constraints. All these paintings have in common:

• the same four color palette (new gambogue, raw sienna, ultramarine blue and alizarin crimson)
• the same techniques (wet-in-wet while leaving white space, with salt and spattering for texture)
• a strong horizontal theme and composition.
