Downstairs Girl is very unique historical fiction story about a Chinese girl in reconstructionist Atlanta.

This is an immersive tale of an unusually plucky young woman’s courage, her search for her heritage, and ultimately, her resilience.

Sorcery of Thorns has more merit that a lot in this genre.

I’m not usually one for satire or parody, but this book was surprisingly entertaining, poking humorously at Jane Austin, the Brontes, and Thomas Hardy.

This novel takes us on a deep dive into the wonders of the ocean, through themes of game playing, to contemplate the ramifications of AI, and the power of friendship.

This is a story of women in England during World War 1.

This book was very different, spanning the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s in America, right on through to the year 2026.
