The above picture is how the whole area surrounding Amarillo looks. This augments why the Palo Duro Canyon is so amazing, for a half a mile further on, all of a sudden and without warning, you will have all the spectacular scenery shown below. In addition, we had unexpected, great weather for our day in the canyon! On our way out, we saw a Texas Longhorn…
