I really liked this light book about a bookstore owner who is brought back to life after mourning the loss of his first wife. Not only does he find love again, but in unexpected places! Woven all through the book are titles and book discussion; it is fun for book lovers to spend time in this local bookstore set in a small island community. I don’t want to give away the plot which has some twists and turns, but will say that it never gets bogged down in too many details, and does not get distracted by it’s many subplots. I especially love the cop and the little girl; both are characters I will carry with me for quite a while.

I know some people that loved this book, and maybe you will too. For my own part, I would not have written in a health crisis at the end of the book, which for me, anyway, marred what was otherwise wonderful. Still, this book has a lot to recommend it, and I give it four stars.
