Sourdough Everything Crackers (Recipe)

Sourdough Everything Crackers (Recipe)
Sourdough Everything Crackers Recipe

These are amazingly good, and have eclipsed anything I’d ever want to buy at the store. They are cheesy and full bodied in flavor, easy to make and downright fabulous. Three weeks ago a friend brought us her sourdough starter and wow. Yes, we made bread and biscuits with it but these we are stuck on (on frequent repeat) for the long term!

You can also experiment by adding your favorite herbs into the batter or sprinkling on top for extra flavor.

Sourdough Everything Crackers Recipe

¾ cup sourdough starter
¼ cup flour
3 TBSP butter, melted
½ cup Parmesan or Asiago cheese, grated (any flavorful, hard cheese will do)
½ tsp salt
Everything Bagel or preferred seasoning

Preheat oven to 350º F

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Dough will be thick and somewhat sticky

Spread dough thinly over paper. You can use an offset spatula or place another piece of parchment paper on top and roll out the dough until it’s thin. It may be easier to remove the paper from the baking sheet until it is completely spread out.

If removed from the baking sheet, return the parchment paper with the dough to the baking
sheet.

Sprinkle with Everything Bagel seasoning

Bake for 20 minutes

Remove from oven and score with a knife of pizza cutter to the size of cracker you want. I usually make them 1-1 ½ inches square

Return to oven and cook for an additional 10 minutes. And if needed another 5-10 minutes, until golden brown. They may be a little soft when first removed from the oven but will crisp up as they cool.

Store in a airtight container.

Enjoy, and try not to eat them all within the hour? Yum!

I was fortunate enough to have some of the test batch and they are the best crackers I ever had!
