Seven Most Recent Collages in my Artist Journals

Seven Most Recent Collages in my Artist Journals, by Polly Castor

I’ve been enjoying collaging in my artist journals.

I’ve been playing with my exacto knife, cutting out shapes to layer over other designs (see the one above and last below), and collaging the inked tissues I use when filling my fountain pens (see first below).

I use my artist journals to try new ideas, but frankly they are also great for mental health. I feel more centered and present after doing pages like these. Can you feel that, or is it only something I feel when doing them?

And are you playing in an artist journal yet?

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
