Books we got and gave on Christmas

This was a very richly endowed book exchange holiday for us. In this post you can see the books we got and gave– mostly non-fiction, and only two novels!

We loved them all, but the one my sister spent six months making of my parent’s backstory and love story (shown above) is astonishingly amazing. She did all kinds of research and combing through family archives, and scanning things in, to do this heirloom quality project of love. Apparently, there is a sequel yet to be made!

We are looking forward to delving into these! Did you receive any books you are excited about? Tell us in the comments!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. The book your sister researched and created looks amazing! That a great idea. And the one about string and fiber looks especially interesting to me. It is nice to have so many books to look forward to reading in the coming year.

Thanks so much for your list of gift books that you received for Christmas. I envy you that you received so many that I would be interested in. Books make a wonderful gift. I am anxious to check out the Emma B. Lion books also. I find your recommendations to be right on. I’m reading Frozen River right now because of your recommendation awhile back. It’s very good, so I thank you for that.
