Creative Arts Camp 2024 (Teaching Painted Paper Collage Day 1)

Creative Arts Camp 2024 (Teaching Painted Paper Collage Day 1)

Leaving a deluge behind (flooding with roads washed out) I headed to Creative Arts Camp to teach Painted Paper Collage with 35 categories of art supplies that took days to collect from all the places I use them. After a warm welcome with dear friends who greeted me, unloaded me, and help me assemble my lakeside classroom, off we went to receiving studens from all over the country.

This is a lovely church camp that extends its season for adults. I have only seven students in a gorgeous spot, two with painting backgrounds, and five with none. Regardless, we all equally dove in with whole hearts, and it was full and fun. We moved through a lot of techniques quickly in the morning, and then collaged them in the afternoon. The first day we stuck to black and white, and next we’ll move on to color.

It is great to see everyone, some of us have returned every year for a long time, and some are new so it is fun to make new friends too. And thankfully, I’m off to better weather today. I think the rain is over for now.

Art stuff I brought for my class, just before I loaded the car.
