As I’m supportive of people traveling this summer, I thought I’d share some spiritual thoughts I find helpful for experiencing the most harmonious and joyful journeys. First off, let’s look at some quotes:

“Be allied to the deific power, and all that is good will aid your journey…” (Unity of Good, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 17)

“The LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua 1:9)

Since God is ever-present, and God is understood to be everywhere, we are never separated from good, even when we are in an unknown place or situation. Knowing this eliminates fears and doubts associated with traveling.

Since God is in charge and always in operation, you can release yourself from a false sense of responsibility, because every detail of harmonious relationship is already accounted for. I like to think of the Christ going before me to smooth out the way.

Since God is all-knowing Mind, we are able to exercise discernment and dominion wherever we are. God’s angel thoughts of intuition and spiritual sense can lead us to make the best choices and proceed in the ideal direction. Since divine Mind is in precise control of all movement, travel with God is without fluctuation or frustration, without mishap or delay, without limitation or exhaustion.

Since God is the Father/Mother of all, we are always among God’s children, and we know a lot about them, whether they are people we are traveling with or those we have not met. We can expect to find quantities of friendliness, cooperation, kindness, honesty, and helpfulness, since their source comes from God through each one of us. God also governs the combination of ideas.

By spiritual birthright we are allied to constancy and discovery, progress and completion. We are never vulnerable to chance or volatility, while eternally subject to spontaneity, synchronicity, and splendid serendipity.  We live and move in the atmosphere of divine Love, and literally everyone is embraced in that love, here, there, and everywhere at once.

Since we have timeless being, and God is already complete good both here and there, similarly, we do not need to suffer from a time change. We are always simply in our right place, expressing Godlikeness, and not defined or negatively affected by what looks like going or coming. Likewise, elevation or dietary changes need not effect us, when we remember we are secure in the palm of God’s hand.

Everyone has everything they need so there is no reason for anyone to take anything from anyone else. Your home, your wallet, and your peace is protected inviolate, now and always.

Since we are the “guests of God,” everything we need is available to us every instant, for the Lord of Hosts is the best!

And we are always safe in our “ark,” cared for in every way by all-powerful omnipotence.
