Biannual Plea for Blog Donations

Biannual Plea for Blog Donations

Do you love this colorful, earnest corner of the internet?

I receive so many appreciative comments about this blog, that I’ve put about 60 of them in a quote rotator in the sidebar of each post (on the computer; on a phone, scroll down below any post to find it). Readers have said they love this blog’s honesty, good thoughts, flavors,  expressions of love, mindful compositions, the Reading Challenge, the soul-filled art images, and the focus on the present moment.

You have said I am teaching you to be grateful too, to amplify good wherever you go, to more fearlessly express yourself and your spirituality, to be more creative, to have more positivity and hope, to be more mindful, and to source your strength and compassion more frequently. Many of you do the sketchbook ideas and have starred artist journals. You say this blog helps you notice the beauty of your own slice of the world, that it renews your energy, and is like a happy surprise each morning…

This blessing and more is here for you, but twice I year I need to remind you that this blog is also funded by you. Your donations keep this site the way you want it, without the distraction and clutter of advertising. Since this blog is colossal, with 5,000 image-laden posts and counting, it is expensive to maintain.  This daily practice of mine started out small and free, and is now neither. Many of you have been along for a good part of my fifteen years of daily posts.

Some of you have already set up a monthly contribution, of an amount of your choosing. Several of you have contributed a lot, or multiple times, some recently. Thank you for that; it is really appreciated. Others of you are new here, so I’ll just mention that the next time I’ll ask for donations will be on Giving Tuesday, just after Thanksgiving here in the USA. We try to keep the blog afloat without much conversation about it.

You know best what value this blog has for you. If another time than now is better for you to contribute, you can always find the PayPal donation button in the sidebar on any post on the computer, or by scrolling down below any post on the phone. There is also a donation button on every email I send you. If you want to send a snail mail check, my address is at the bottom of every blog post email, so feel free to contribute that way too. If you want to set up monthly payments, the donate button allows for that. To make it easy to donate now, you can also do so right here:

Thank you again for supporting this site financially, prayerfully, and by sharing it with your family and friends. Your generosity, reflected in both your valuing of this blog and your ongoing presence here, is deeply appreciated.

Also, I’d like to say that since you support keeping up this big site, take a deep plunge occasionally, and go back into a category like books or food, or poems or spirituality, and immerse yourself in all that is there. Also explore the Rotating Jewels from the Archives, which brings up randomly suggested earlier posts; you can find that also in the sidebar on the computer or down below any post on the phone.

Thank you for making full use of this inspirational resource, and for being you!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
