Where Did the Money Go? (New Textured Abstract Painting in Pastel), by Polly Castor Where Did the Money Go? (pastel) by Polly Castor

Does it seem to you like money seems to evaporate like bubbles rising and floating away?

This painting was done on the first of the two textured grounds I showed you in last week’s post, although the underpainting was photographed on its side.

I love this color combo, the contrasts between the sweeping upward movement and the circles of coins- some mercifully trapped and stable, while it seems others just drift up and off…

See the complete work above and close up details of it below.

The original 20’x28″ pastel painting, framed in white with anti-reflective glass, is available for purchase here.

You may obtain prints and merchandise of it here.

What do you think? Do you like the texture, or do you prefer a smooth painting instead?

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
