Coming home there were so many things I wanted to paint, but I started with this one that I’ve thought about for a while of the rocks at Sand Beach in Acadia. I loved the abstract quality of the shapes and the blueness of the shadows. This is a favorite spot that I’ve returned to multiple times. I love how this scene expresses both peace and power.
