Filled with empathy and prayers for the challenges the world over, from fires, to hurricanes, earthquakes, and devastation of all kinds, I appreciated all the more the loveliness and calm here locally in Connecticut this past weekend.
Here are my snapshots from a gorgeous weekend, including some time near the river in Westport where a bald eagle flew closely overhead and the clouds were reflected on the water, to dahlias blooming, highpoint (97 & 132 point) turns on Words with Friends, a great cribbage hand, purple cauliflower, intriguing shadows, the Essex marina where I’m in an art show, and the largest mussels I’ve ever had.
I’m grateful also for new opportunities, new friends, new clients, new blog readers, new painting ideas, talking with both daughters, companioning with my husband, and the incredible abundance in my refrigerator. Beauty and good are impartial and universal. Here’s a peek at some I’ve recently been blessed with. Despite claims to the contrary, life is good.
