Palo Duro Canyon Hike Photos

We stayed an extra day after the wedding to hike in the Palo Duro Canyon. The temperatures crested 100ºF on our six mile shadeless walk, but we had a great time nonetheless.

Usually visiting Texas at Thanksgiving, Easter, or in the summer, I had never seen the canyon so green before. And seeing the prickly pear in bloom was also a treat. Additionally, we saw road runners, lizards galore, as well as rabbits. I enjoy the shape of the landscape as well as the variation of colors in the strata of sediment.

Check out here my photos of a lovely hot hike in what I think of as the best of the panhandle in Texas besides the people.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
