Egret photos

Yesterday I was on the Long Island Sound early and saw about 30 egrets enjoying a feast of a breakfast. I even ended up putting an egret in my painting because he was posing for the longest time just where I put him in my composition. Fortunately I had my zoom lens with me.

In the photos below, the ones with the water behind them, I took yesterday on the sound, and the ones in the rocks, I took in Florida on Sanibel Island last March. And check out the last photo; yesterday a seagull photobombed me as I was poised to take a shot of the egrets, and I love the result.

Enjoy! It is so good to see these magnificent birds thrive.
