New Plein Air Oil Painting: Mossy Bank at Sunset

Plein air oil painting, Polly Castor landscape oil painting

This is the plain air oil painting I did while at Creative Arts Camp. It was a little tight trying to paint something in free time around my silversmithing class and getting enough social time. This painting, titled Mossy Bank at Sunset, is 16″ x 20″ and was pretty ambitious to do in the sporadic time I had available. As you can see in the photo below, I was serenaded lakeside by a cello player while I painted earlier in the day, which was delightful.

I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
