Yes, we have done our part and brought rain to California. We spent a cold rainy night camping at Lake Tahoe in Bliss State Park, and since it was forecast to again be in the low forties and rainy the next night, we bailed, and headed to Sacramento to wash some clothes and see Virginia.

You can see by our lone car in the parking lot that it was not considered the July beach day we expected! Before we left, though, we enjoyed the beautiful Emerald Bay (above) and had fun tooling through the galleries in South Lake Tahoe. Laura loved her raspberry pancakes at Heidi’s (warm food did hit the spot!) and she loved the feel of the beach sand as well.
