Warning to my gentleman readers: this definitely qualifies as chick-lit, albeit shrouded in a mask of historical fiction and even a bit of mystery. I read it because it was recommended by a reliable source that I didn’t know read stuff as steamy as this. It was, however, an entirely entertaining escape, and even though I can only give this easy read three stars, I’ll likely read the sequels when I find a need to lighten things up. If any of you enjoy reading romance, you might like this one.
