Our oldest daughter left yesterday to go back to college after a three week vacation with us, which was the longest time she’s been home since starting as a freshman (she’s now a junior.) Her room, which had surged back into life with her presence, is empty again. Missing her a bit this morning, I took some photos of it as it baldly gapes at me in the wake of her renewed absence.
