“If your daily life seems of no account, don’t blame it;
blame yourself that you are not poet enough
to call forth its treasures.
For the creative artist
there is no impoverishment and no worthless place.”–Rainer Maria Rilke
This quote is an apt summary of this blog where I share a small fraction of my daily treasures. It is about noticing, claiming and amplifying the extraordinary nature of ordinary good. One cannot separate creativity, art, poetry, or spirituality from each other nor from one’s life experience. Fresh inspiration surrounds us all the time if we will only pay attention. My hope is we will all embrace being poets of our own lives right down to the minutiae of the everyday: it is a joy and privilege not to be missed. It is a genuine sacred sacrament of connection: a testament to the divine source while simultaneously a meaningful human delight.
