Book Review: And The Dark and Sacred Night

Tha Dark and Sacred Night book review

Well, unless you were a reader of Three Junes, and you want closure on that story, I don’t recommend taking the time to read this one. That was the only thing that kept me from bailing out on this one about a quarter the way through.

This story about biological paternity as opposed to fatherhood is much too long and drawn out in my opinion. Frankly, I am glad that it is over now and I can move on to something else.

It is only because Julia Glass is such a good writer that I give this book 3 stars. If you want to read something better by her, read The Widower’s Tale. For my part, it will be a long time before I read anything else by this author, if ever.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
