Dolly All the Time (Book Reciew)

Dolly all the time, Book Review

This is what my book friends call a “palette cleanser” and sometimes you need an easy read with a happy ending. This rom-com fits the bill and although being a bit formulaic (spunky independent single mom fake dating an uber rich guy) it has depth of character and you care what transpires.

I bought Dolly All the Time last summer at the Briar Patch Bookshop in Bangor, Maine. Set on the coast in Rhode Island, this could well be called a beach read, but I only got to it now in the fall.

Unlike some things I’ve read this year, this rings as sweet (but complicated?) love, and while not chaste, it is not smutty either, as a few books I read this year turned out to be. The characters here grow and learn what they need, which is always a good thing.

You might like this breezy book too. I enjoyed it and give it 4 four stars.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
