What I Heard Her Say (Poem by Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer)

What I Heard Her Say

It is true, you are too much for some—
especially those who have not yet learned
they carry the sea inside them. Especially
those who still want to fit their lives
into small, dry boxes with tight-fitting tops.
But there will be some who desperately need you
to show up every bit as immense as you are,
not one drop smaller, need you to be unashamedly
vast and deep and full of strange things
neither you nor they can understand.
Maybe it’s just one person who needs you
to be that big. Maybe that person is you.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. …yes…true, Rosemary,
one must be careful, sensitive, loving…
    with whom one shares “wisdom”…
    discriminating, carefully…
    to protect the relationship,
    and them,
from premature … and possibly incorrect
    “conclusions…”
    though..though…
    there may be some who
    can TAKE it!
