Photos from our Quick Trip to Texas for the Funeral

Yesterday, I posted (see here) about my husband’s wonderful aunt, and her recent passing. We made a quick trip back to Amarillo to her funeral, along with our daughters, and the photos in this post follow that experience. You can see our family (and my husband’s brother’s family) at church and in the park on Sunday, before our visit to the funeral home. The funeral was Monday morning, followed by more time with the extended family.

The photo with all the little kids in the chapel shows 12 of his aunt’s 13 great grandchildren (the other was present but a newborn). I didn’t get photos of everyone, as I might have in other occasions, because our heart was not in it, but the flowers and fall leaves there were gorgeous, as well as a snowy aerial view on the way home.

And get a load of that long line of planes waiting to take off in Denver! I had a lovely chat with my seatmate on my last leg home on the plane; she’s your most recent fellow blog reader. Lastly, you can see my husband and I eating out on our way home Tuesday evening, after a long day of traveling.
