I’m in this Renaissance in Pastel National Juried Exhibition Awake to the Truth (pastel) by Polly Castor

It is always a pleasure to be juried into a national show, especially in this case with a piece as edgy as mine above. Also there was very little abstraction in this show, and none of it got awards. So I was fortunate to be in this show at all. This is why I intend to start a pastel society for abstraction, so our work can be judged within context of itself.

Congratulations too, to you blog readers who also got in, and to the one of you who even received an award!

Anyway, below you can see my favorites in the show. Or better yet, you can view the show yourself at the Lyme Art Association until October 24.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
