As I mentioned last week, I love abstract landscapes, and Richard Sucking, from England, does a great job. His landscape work has been compared to Pierre Bonnard, and mine has been as well, so I suppose it is no surprise that I like his style. Also, we both also love to work out in the landscape en plein air in pastel, are both enamored with mark making, and are not afraid of luscious color. He paints the same places repeatedly, however, which is not something I’ve done, busy as I am with more abstract work.
