Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Pastel Society of Maine’s Annual Plein Air Retreat. Each year, fourteen of us rent an AirBnb for four nights and paint and eat and support each other. This is a vibrant, kind community that I am glad to be part of and contribute to. As you’ll see on the blog tomorrow, I’m their cook for this event, as well as an attendee.
In this first post of our time together, you can see the lovely Civil War era home we rented in Cushing on the water, as well as some of the attendees. Unfortunately, I did not do a great job of getting everyone’s photo, and I apologize for this oversight. Our time flew by so fast, but was cherished by all as both community building and resuscitating in many ways.
I am so grateful for this group, and for each person present at the retreat!

What’s gorgeous home and property you found in Cushing! Wish I was there with you. Even the weather cooperated! Look at the colors in the fliers an and shrubs. So good to see each of you painting and enjoying each other!
