Pages in my Sardinia Sketchbook

Here are the pages I painted in Sardinia, of Cala Goloritze, Cala Luna, and Neptune’s Grotto, as well as two moods of their sumptuous water. Together with the Turkey portion, this trip sketchbook is filled completely. These are done in gouache.

I’m looking forward to getting back to painting something more abstract, but I think the water on this trip especially will be a theme I return to often.

I am also hoping to do some paintings of the live oak trees we saw in Sardinia; maybe I’ll do that soon. I felt they needed to be painted large, and if I painted them in my sketchbook, I might not follow through on that, so I held back at the time. Now I hope I’ll actually get to it!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
