Cappadocia and a Hot Air Balloon Ride

While our younger daughter and I flew on from Turkey to Sardinia, my husband took a side trip to Cappadocia with our older daughter and her boyfriend, before joining us in Sardinia. Both our older daughter and my husband wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride, and this spot in Turkey is a popular place to do that. Plus, Cappodocia is an interesting place geologically with its “fairy chimney” land formations made from eroded volcanic ash. Furthermore,  early Christians escaped persecution there by carving churches and underground cities into the rock. My dear ones had a good time, as you can see in these few photos they shared with me here.
