Heading out of Dallas, on our second leg of our journey home, a nice person offered me their window seat so I could sit next to my husband, and that’s how this blog post came about.
I was so grateful, because I wouldn’t have wanted to miss the foliage show I got from the air on our descent. It was especially gorgeous in the 5pm light.
Meanwhile, before getting there, I was enjoying the abstract shapes out the window in Texas, and you’ll see more of them when I post my next batch of black and white photographs, since color there wasn’t really a factor.
Anyway, here below are a few from Texas, followed by approaching my lovely home in Connecticut. I am so glad to live among these fall trees!

Wonderful aerial shots! While taking photography classes in college (I returned to college in 2000) I became intrigued with the structure of our highways. Completely by accident I discovered while doing a series of triptics that all exits and entrances line up! I could take ay exit off and line it up with any other exit off/on. That was a beginning of looking at everything differently! I love photography. I truly miss it. Digital is ok but I so loved the 35 cameras I had and used. Black and white was my favorite. I had wanted to be a photojournalist but was discouraged by the big boys that it was too difficult for “a girl!” 🤔
