Creative Arts Camp 2024 (Teaching Painted Paper Collage Day 4)

Creative Arts Camp 2024 (Teaching Painted Paper Collage Day 4)

This was a lovely day. My students went out into the landscape to respond to what they felt, heard and smelled. They used pine cones and acorns, sticks and mushrooms to make marks with on a large sheet of paper. In the afternoon, they collaged these into an abstract landscape. You can see the terrific results above, as well as closer up below.

I had some great conversations today, and there was much laughter too. The day was topped off with a talent show (I read one of my poems and sang), and some more bananagrams.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
