Here are the five small paintings I painted on our three day plein air retreat in Maine:
Northport Linden (12″x18″) was painted in the shade of one of the most massive linden trees I have ever seen.
Happy Little Tugs (12″x12″) was painted on the docks in Belfast, Maine.
I loved the Elm in the Camden Library Gardens (9″x12″), its twisting, so artfully nurtured, with almost Asian in influence.
In Early Morning Light on South Branch Pond (9″x12″), I love how the first light glittered peach on the water.
Safe Harbor (12″x12″) is a conceptual piece using a Camden thunderstorm as a model. See the full painting below, with also some close-up photos highlighting its texture.
