Sufficiency (New Large Abstract Pastel Painting)

Sufficiency (New Large Abstract Pastel Painting)
Sufficiency painting Sufficiency (pastel) by Polly Castor

I’ve been thinking about sufficiency lately so I pondered how to paint it. It feels settled and stable at the base, and infused with illumination and supply from above. Each one of us is enough and has everything needful. There is a striking simplicity to this fact.

This painting you can see in full above and in close-up detail below. It is 20″x28″ and done in pastel.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves. I’d change the title to “Too Cute for Words”.

I’m seeing a beautiful little child running up to you with outstreched arms trying to give you a hug.
