December Hike Photos from Huntington State Park 2021

It was a mild December in Connecticut, with only a few days of ice (shown in this blog here).

The highlights this month from my walks at Huntington State Park were the fact that our daughters hiked with me, where I usually go alone. Also, we saw goats frolicking in the park, which was unexpected and fun, and delightfully dissolved all barriers between fellow hikers.

Other than that, shown here continues my fascination of how light transforms the landscape, as well as the abstracted qualities of reflections on water.

Through these photos, ramble with me over the past month in the park I have traversed so often. It has been a joyous time.

Your daughter’s hair, unraveled, looks like the rippelly reflections of bare branches in the waters. Lovely! Winter colors are gorgeous

Beautiful photos and love seeing the goats out for a walk. A few years ago in the Twin Cities they were using goats in parks to eat the invasive weed buckthorn!
