Spring Forward (pastel) by Polly Castor

I’ve been loving my walks this spring, the fresh new leaves and the dappled shadows they create, the pale blue sky at midday. Everything about it feels progressive, forward moving. I guess this is my last painting of spring for a while; the leaves are fully out now and today is to be our first hot day over 80º.

This painting is called Spring Forward, and is 18″x24″ and done in pastel. See the entire work above, and details of it below.
