I worked hard to finish four paintings enough to talk about them. I gave my presentation last night to a charitable, but interested audience that asked good questions about the work I have been doing. I’m happy with the painting above and the completed one I showed you yesterday, but the two on either side of them in the photo below are not yet finished.

The painting above is called Newfoundland Geology. Those of you that followed our recent five week camping trip to Newfoundland will understand why. This is a place where Pangea broke apart and plate tectonics was proved. Rocks from different eons are squeezed together in jumbled strata each with their tell tale rocks. I found it very inspiring and fascinating, and this painting was a culmination, or maybe only a beginning, of this interest.
