In this abstract conceptualist paining, I explore the idea of Om. It is 15″x22″ and is done in pastel.

I originally thought of depicting the concept of Om in a continuous, uneventful, horizontal line. But the more I thought about it, I changed my mind. I like the vertical image instead as indicative of the human reaching for the divine, focusing past all the chatter of the foreground to the immense wholeness beyond. I chose an egg shape to represent that listening Source, for the sense of life and patience it suggests.

See the entire painting above and details of it below.

The original of this painting is available here on my artist website.

Prints and merchandise of it is available here.

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. That’s beautiful, Polly. We were in India not so long ago and whilst visiting a Hindu temple, it came to me that Om is very close to I AM – as revealed to Moses – the revelation of the Allness and Onliness of the divine. Just a thought – and with love.
