Anchored Amidst the Tides (Poem by Jennifer Welwood)

Know the silence that lives
At the depth of all things;
Now the dissonance of the world
Can’t overwhelm you.
Know the radiance that shines forth
As the nature of all things;
Now you can face into the darkness
And not waver.
Know the vastness that everywhere
Is the truth of all things;
Now the small cares of your life
No longer crush you.

Know yourself, nakedly,
Oh bright expanse of wakefulness;
Now you are anchored amidst the tides
Of Self-forgetting.
