The above painting was one of my favorites in the Enduring Brilliance Pastel show, and I have been following Tara Will since. I am a total fan of her abstract landscapes! There is lots of overlap in how we approach our plein air work, although she does more of it more formally than my catch as catch can approach. Watching her makes me want to do much more plein air next year.
It looks like we were probably in the same room at the Materials Fair in NYC, knowing lots of people in common. I’m sorry I did not meet her there, but hope to meet her in person at the IAPS convention next June.
