I took a pastel workshop on composition the last three days, and ended up painting these two autumn landscape paintings. I will post all about the workshop tomorrow, but wanted to get these up first; I had a good time with these and enjoy their vibrancy.
Both were done in the workshop from photographs, which were taken near my home last year. (So far this year the autumn color has been marginal, but last year it was ablaze.) Both were done over a gouache underpainting on colored, archival, sanded grounds. Both are 12″ x 16″ and are available for sale, so contact me if interested. Both are in my gallery, with prints and merchandise available, see here and here.
I love to paint, and also love my beautiful surroundings!
