We stopped in Lexington, Virginia for lunch on the way to our niece’s wedding, and saw an artist’s guild around the corner, so we stopped in. My favorite work in the store was by Sarah Gayle Carter, who happened to be the artist on duty that day in the shop. Immediately Sarah and I got on like we had known each other always. I loved her bright landscape paintings that exhibit her strong design sense, so I want to introduce you to her work. That’s her above–a joyous effervescent woman it would be fun to know and support. Check out some of her paintings below, as well as on her website here.

Lexington, Virginia has a lovely downtown and the land surrounding it is gorgeous. I recommend visiting there as well.
