I enjoyed learning about twentieth century artist Marie Hull in the beautiful coffee table book shown last below. I had never heard of this artist before. She lived in Mississippi from 1890 to 1980. She painted all sorts of subjects in a variety of mediums, but ended up exploring abstraction in the 1960’s. Here in this post, you can see some of her work that was featured in the book. I love her sense of color, and the vigorousness of her mark-making!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
