Book Review: The Year of Pleasures

The Year of Pleasures

This is a pleasant read about a new widow dealing with her husband’s recent passing. The marriage had been a happy one and the story is not maudlin nor stricken, but gently progressive. Sprinkled in with her present day challenges and her retrospective wonderful memories are productive kernels of wisdom about going forward. Love remains and good continues to unfold. Life is never on hold. I give it four stars.

The Year of Pleasures

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
