Today’s Painting

Today’s Painting

Below is the painting I did today. I was starved for paint, doing nothing creative except but my box-a-day all through the holiday.

The book I finished today was so tedious and negative that it put me in a foul mood. I had read it because a famous author interviewed on NPR gave it as his one favorite book recommendation. I had planned on it being my blog entry today, but since I thought it merited only about two stars if I was generous, I decided it didn’t deserve the honor of being named here!

Compassionately, my husband graciously took on some driving of the children around to appointments and classes today which I would have normally done. This allowed me time to paint! It did the trick of centering me once again and I’ve got so many ideas, hopefully I’ll be painting much more now as our schedule settles back down to a post holiday routine. And my next book couldn’t help but be better! Thank you to my knight in shining armor!

I work to amplify good wherever I find it. I love color, texture, beauty, great ideas, nature, metaphor, deliciousness, genuine spirituality, and exploring new territory. I encourage authenticity, nurture creativity, champion sustainability, promote peace, and hope to foster a new renaissance where we all are free to be our most fulfilled, multifaceted, and terrific selves.
