We love the sprouted pea shoots and splurge sometimes on the yummy sunflower shoots. But these are expensive, so this spring we bought a bunch of seed and have been growing our own! 

This has been not only more cost effective, but fun, easy and delicious as well.  Above are the red clover sprouts which are particularly wonderful.  We are also enjoying sprouted adzuki beans for salads and sprouted black beans for Mexican dishes.  This is all very satisfying and you may wish to follow suit…
